A hot summer's day
the pavement sizzles
upon which my feet,
strike quickly and fast
'till no earth follows
the wind and the air
whistling around
suddenly, air stops
one sound from the crash
of a million drops
silence is followed
for the ears are blocked
gravity is slowed
the world is serene
